The active lifestyles of children in Colombia demand a prosthetic that is not only adaptable with their growth rate, but also in how they utilize a prosthetic. Whether it’s traversing the trails to get to school, playing games with peers, or working the fields of the family farm, the prosthetic needs to be resilient, adaptable for growth, easy to maintain, and be able to maintain functionality in harsh conditions. Child participation in the building process will help to foster a sense of ownership and responsibility to care for their prosthetic while empowering them and aiding them in their mental healing.

It was found that the current RotoZip Spiral Saw was very prone to dust spread which not only makes it a difficult tool to use indoors, but was the cause of the initial tool failure where the chuck release button had become jammed in the locked position. The dust poses a danger in that the tool creates a circulating turbulence of dust that can work its way around safety glasses causing temporary blindness
when attempting to cut. Breaking bits due to users attempting to force the tool to cut faster than it can cut was a frustrating
occurrence when attempting to cut a variety of different materials.
A lack of lighting allows a shadow from the tool to interfere with proper cutting from low visibility.
The Cyclone Saw addresses these shortcomings in a very efficient manner to improve user workflow.

The variety of bag handle strap lengths on canvas shopping bags potentially create a dangerous situation from the swaying of the bag if it contacts the front wheel. Even just the swaying bag can offset steering enough to be dangerous if the rider is not accustomed to the feel.

Aqua Pod is a vertical aquaponics system designed to be a low cost, low maintenance solution for those new to gardening or aquaponics. It's friendly design is achieved by the elimination of most plumbing parts by utilizing a gravity favored process of water flow for the upper and mid growing beds. The bottom grow beds can be used as either wicking beds for growing root vegitables, or as flood beds for growing leafy vegitables like lettuce. The ability to switch between the two grow beds is achieved by setting the water level for when the sump pump turns on to cycle the water.
